For many, positivity is a hard thing to create. It’s easier to just be negative. That’s why negativity is far more contagious. If you are writing a book and you know 30 people, more of them likely won’t believe in you actually finishing the book. Which statically is probably the correct thought, being that most don’t finish after they start. However, it is not the feelings of others that ground our emotions. It is not the response of others to our actions and goals that dictate how we are allowed to feel.
We all deserve to be happy and positive. Life is just easier when you cultivate a positive mental attitude. I’ve been negative. I was for years. It didn’t help me at all. It wasn’t until I read “Think and Grow Rich” and “Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude” that I actually saw gains in my positivity and found the ability to not only believe in myself, but maintain motivation instead of falling into further depression.
How to be positive all the time?
You become more positive by first making the choice to be more positive.
How to maintain positivity?
If you want to be positive all the time you must create a habit of positivity. You wake up everyday and you tell yourself it’s going to be a good day. You tell yourself it’s going to be a successful day where you are going to get shit done. Because that’s what has to happen for you to hit your goals. You don’t think about the reasons you can’t do something. You think about what you CAN do.
Fight it within your own mind. When you look in the mirror and think, “This isn’t good enough”, “I can’t finish my project”, “The goal was too high” “If I had XYZ I could do it!” Then your failing yourself. Whenever you have a negative thought or an “I want to give up” idea. You need to immediately counter that thought within your mind. Speak it out loud. Start with yourself. Then if you really want to make this habit stick, you start pushing others to be more positive. You push them to stop bringing negativity into their own lives.
Those who bring negativity into your life?
Distance yourself from them. You can’t become more positive. You can’t cultivate a positive mental attitude while keeping negativity around you.
